Coldplaygerism

Apparently a band called Creaky Boards is filing a lawsuit claiming Coldplay copied the sound of "Viva La Vida" from their song "The Songs I Didn't Write" ironically. They claim Chris Martin (Frontman for Coldplay) got the idea from hearing them at the 2007 CMJ music festival. I don't know, "Viva La Vida" is an awesome song. Whether is it was copied or not, Coldplay made it their own and that's the reason it's so good. I feel if Creaky Boards came out with that song, it wouldn't be huge. Who knows, listen for yourself.

Also there is claim that "Viva La Vida" sounds like Joe Satriani's 2004 Instrumental "If I Could Fly." I have to agree, they sound really similar. Either way, I say leave Coldplay alone.
